The Elevator Speech
This tool is used to help preparing you for explaining your project quickly to others.
This results in increased support and commitment.
A pitch, or elevator speech should describe:
1. The project (or solution)
2. The need for change
3. The vision for the new desired state you are working towards
4. What you expect or need from others
When writing your speech, keep it short, simple and relevant
You can test it out on your team if already selected, or a colleague. It is a great way for all to understand the project and increase your own commitment too
You may also ask your team to write their own version, then compare notes. You can either choose the best speech, or take elements for each
The Fifteen word flipchart can help with this.
